Anytime Virtual Orienteering Courses
Scroll down for maps to download and print at home.
There are quite a lot of permanent orienteering courses in SE Wales designed mainly by SWOC members for local authorities. Most have unfortunately fallen into disrepair and or the maps are out of date. We are in the process of converting courses into MapRun virtual events which use a smartphone app rather than have permanent posts on the ground. All of the courses below are MapRun courses except for Heath Pk which at the time of writing still had posts on the ground.

Pontcanna Permanent MapRun Courses
There are 5 MapRun courses in Pontcanna/Llandaff Fields/Bute Park. All are virtual courses with no controls on the ground and which use MapRun a free smartphone app. See the MapRun introduction page to see how to use it. You don’t have to start and finish at the position show on the map as the MapRun is set up so that you can use any control as the start /finish and run through the mapped start/finish as though its just another control.
