Introduction
This is an inter club competition for all UK clubs to enter. The cup is for larger clubs and the trophy for smaller clubs such as ourselves. It consists of a number of regional qualifiers in February and a final in October.
Our qualifier is being held at Sutton Park, Birmingham on Sunday 22nd February 2026 where we will be competing against 6 other clubs with the top 3 clubs going on to the final.
The club will subsidise the entry fee as follows. Juniors free, seniors 50%. (unfortunately fees are not yet known as the organising club is still negotiating access charges for the event with the council).
Full event details can be found on the Octavian Droobers website https://www.octavian-droobers.org/ including the details of the course for your age class. However with your agreement there may be a scenario where some club members run up a class if it would help to maximise our potential score.
If you are able to help SWOC by running at the event could you get back to me at ribbo57@gmail.com by the 28th January. I am also happy to help co-ordinate transport to the event so an indication as to whether you would require a lift or be able to offer one would also be extremely useful.
The more club members that are able to come along then the better chance we have of making the final.
